Job Details

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Lead mechanical engineering efforts for new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, process, test, and reliability engineering.
  • Ensure mechanical design meets performance, cost, and quality targets.
  • Drive design improvements for manufacturability, yield, and cost reduction.
  • Manage mechanical content for product builds and validation.
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve issues and optimize production.
  • Experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in networking or electronics hardware.
  • Knowledge of materials, thermal management, and structural analysis.
  • Experience with DFM, DFA, and reliability testing.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to resolve mechanical issues during production.
  • Review and approve mechanical tooling, fixtures, and process changes.

  • CAD software: Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
  • PLM systems: Agile, Windchill
  • Materials knowledge: Plastics, metals, composites
  • Manufacturing processes: Injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, CNC machining
  • Standards: IPC, ISO, UL, CE, RoHS
